Meet Dr. Eddie

Dr. Eddie Vernon is a holistic healer and educator whose approach brings together acupuncture, sound healing, breathwork and Qi Gong. His interest in health includes the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual parts of life, drawing on traditional healing practices as well as modern medical science.
After seven years as a U.S. Naval officer, Eddie began studying natural ways to stay healthy and recover from injuries. That search led him to Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, where he spent four years studying acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, earning his master’s and doctoral degrees.
His interest in the connection between body, mind and spirit led him to travel to China, Taiwan, Ecuador and Mexico to learn from indigenous healers and traditional medicine practitioners. He also completed David Elliott’s Healer Training Levels 1–2 in Pranayama breathwork and was trained and certified in Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) with its founder, Dr. David Berceli.
Dr. Eddie has worked in settings ranging from Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruise ships to Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. At Tripler, he treated active-duty service members with chronic pain, PTSD and traumatic brain injuries as part of the Army’s interdisciplinary pain management team. That experience deepened his interest in the relationship between pain, stress and trauma.
A lifelong student of the healing arts, Dr. Eddie continues to share meditation, sound, breathwork and movement practices with people who want to care for their health and explore their spiritual life.
